Payton is by far one of the most talented and hardworking folks I’ve ever worked with. He came to OpsRamp at a time where we had no business development team and built it out to become an insane selling machine. He led and taught a team of 12 BDRs that consistently surpassed their goals and never stopped striving for more.

I had the opportunity to work very closely with Payton during my time at OpsRamp, as I was in an enterprise field sales role there working very collaboratively with Payton and his team as he led the Inside Sales Team there. In working together, it quickly became apparent that Payton was creating a motivating and accountable Inside Sales Team, while establishing a very healthy culture that people wanted to be a part of. While Payton is very approachable and made himself available on a personal level for his team, he was able to still maintain a very professional atmosphere with a high level of motivation to perform. Both he and his team were setting up quality meetings for Enterprise Field Sales on a daily basis. Payton drove very positive results, overperforming week after week with the amount of qualified meetings set by his team and himself. Payton leads by example, as he personally was prospecting every day, building upon the great results from his team.

Payton’s discipline is also extremely apparent both professionally and personally, as it was clear when I got to know him that he drove himself very hard to produce results and continuous improvement at OpsRamp and outside of OpsRamp through fitness, self-education and at home in his role as a father and husband.

Payton carries a passion in life that is truly contagious. I got to witness how this drove his effectiveness as a leader, a co-worker and as a prospector. Payton himself is a very skilled prospector, as he was able to create and help drive opportunities that resulted in very large annual revenue for OpsRamp, some deals of which were 7 figures annually to the organization. Payton always has a positive outlook in every situation, which I believe is one of his greatest strengths. He is a tremendous asset for any organization in need of a sales leader.

Payton is a leader, mentor, role model, and hands-on action-biased operator. If you ever happen to find yourself on the extra mile, you'll always see Payton there. Payton is the consummate recruiter, but he doesn't stop there. Once he brings someone onto his team he puts in the time, energy, thought, and expertise to help make them a success. He is exceptional at identifying the right person to bring into the organization based on aptitude, attitude, and ability. Payton then mentors that person to achieve their maximum capabilities. Payton is a rare unicorn in business.
